About Me

I’m Randy Ray. I’m 44 years old, I live in Denton, Texas, I have a degree in Literature from the University of North Texas, and I like reading science fiction novels.

I was inspired by Robert Bruce’s blog at 101Books.net to start my own reading project. He’s reading Time‘s list of 100 greatest novels since 1923. I’ve read many of them, and I’d enjoy embarking on the same project, but I didn’t want to be too imitative. I did some searching, and I couldn’t find anyone blogging about a similar project related to science fiction novels, so I decided to start one.

For my list of science fiction novels, I decided to use three four different awards in the genre–the Hugos, the Nebulas, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Arthur C. Clarke Award. I’m reading these in no particular order. As I finish each novel, I’ll write a post about my experience reading it.
